What is adult Myriad care?

To work in adult Myriad care, you’ll need to have good communication skills and a desire to help others.

You’ll support people who need additional help to live independently.
You could support someone in their own home or a residential home, or invite someone to live with you through a Shared Lives scheme.
You’ll have plenty of opportunity to progress and gain formal qualifications whilst you work.

Direct care roles

There are many entry-level roles in adult Myriad care, all of them offering on-the-job training to help you develop your skills and confidence whilst you work.

Below are just a few of the roles available:

Care worker

Care workers, or support workers, support people with all aspects of their daily lives.

Personal assistant

Personal assistants may be employed directly by an individual person, supporting them to live independently, usually in their own home.

Activities coordinator

Activities coordinators organise social activities for people who need care and support.

Rehabilitation worker

Rehabilitation workers help people live independently, often following an illness.

Shared Lives carer

Shared Lives carers open their home to someone who needs care.

Experience required

These roles require more experience, in some cases formal qualifications.

Registered manager

Registered managers ensure their organisation provides high-quality care and support.

Deputy operations manager

Deputy managers help the manager of the organisation ensure high-quality care.
