We are currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated individual to join us on a fixed term period of up to 12 months, in managing a 36 bed residential based service, across our 4 sites in Brent, Greater London as a Service Manager. The service currently offers recovery focused support to men and women with long term mental health difficulties, with the aim of supporting service users to increase their independence and move them on into lower support accommodation.
As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of service quality, performance and improvements across the service through excellent leadership. You will work in conjunction with mental health services, other partner agencies and carers to improve living skills, increase social inclusion, and help individuals understand and manage their mental health in order to improve their quality of life.
To be successful in this role, you will have a background in mental health, complex needs, homelessness and/or substance misuse provision and have similar service experience at managerial level. With a robust history of implementing, improving standards and steering change, you will be committed to creating an inclusive environment, which celebrates difference and allows our staff and service users to flourish.

Experience Required:
- NVQ / Diploma Level 4 in Management / Health & Social Care / Mental Health or professional equivalent
- Direct experience of working in reintegration and rehabilitation services or similar services
- Operational management experience with the ability to work under challenging circumstances
- A good understanding of the needs of vulnerable people who may also have mental health, offending or substance misuse problems
- Proven ability to provide clear leadership and management to a team
- Experience of providing commercial viable services and interventions to target client groups
- A good understanding of the principles of staff development and management, e.g.supervision, appraisal & training
- Knowledge and practical application of key legislation – mental health, criminal justice, social care and housing etc
- Ability to influence and form strong relationships with commissioning bodies and professional agencies
