There will always be a staff member available during their time volunteering to discuss any immediate issues and help resolve problems.

Volunteers at Myriad Care have full access to the training and development opportunities that form our Workforce Development Strategy. All volunteers have access to our independent Employee Assistance Programme which provides advice and support 24 hours a day 365 days a year. We also have a suite of volunteer-specific policies and procedures.

Formally:

During the induction period, volunteers meet with their supervisor weekly for the first six weeks to discuss their progress and any difficulties they are experiencing. After six weeks, the meeting frequency reduces to bi-monthly. In addition to this, all volunteers have a bi-annual review to allow them to reflect on the previous six months and plan for the forthcoming six. Training needs are also reviewed during these meetings.
